Chase Raz has been working on a book for Multinewmedia and it focuses on emerging technologies and how business and technology will be impacted by innovation in the future. To support this book, Chase is working on a lecture series to help spread even more information about how our shared future will evolve. This episode introduces the first rough draft and dry run for the lecture series and the focus is on cloud computing's present and future, with plenty of context for good measure.

Star Trek has been back on television (and mobile, and computer, etc.) for a few weeks now. Chase Raz hails friend, co-worker, and former student Garret Albritton to engage the Klingons and discuss what it means for Star Trek to be back. The biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own; meaning that the cultural influences and technical production elements of the new series are explored, even where no one has gone before. Chase Raz has been feeling quite a bit of apathy towards consumer technology recently, and he believes that he's not alone. Not only do others seem to be "tapping out" of tech because of the continually elevating price tags, but tech companies themselves seem to be retrenching from their wide-reaching ecosystems and into a few key competencies... or at least cutting out what they are so competent at doing or making. Chris Ayers, on the other hand, feels find about technology and has no problem supporting multiple devices, platforms, and ecosystems to get whatever content he wants, whenever he wants it.
